Take a moment to
think about all the things you use literacy for in your life. Besides reading
and writing for enjoyment, every career uses literacy in some way. With more
and more focus on testing students are losing their love for literacy as they
make their way through their educational career.

Teachers need to
fight against this growing apathy towards reading and writing. I will not let
you go into this battle unarmed. This blog will provide you with creative
activities and strategies to try out with your unwilling or struggling
students. Remember all students are unique and you may have to alter some of
the ideas provided to fit the needs of your particular classroom. Good luck and
